Indonesia is the Earth’s largest archipelago nation, which includes part of the Malaysian Islands and the majority of the Greater and Lesser Sunda Islands forming a bridge between South-East Asia and Australia. The country comprises of thousands of small islands including the four Greater Sunda Islands: Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan (Borneo) and Sulawesi (Celebes) that cover ¾ of the whole area of Indonesia. The country lies on either side of the Equator and is 5000 km long from East to West. The flora, fauna and geography of this tropical-climate country is diverse: smoking volcanoes, dense forests, white sanded beaches, terraced wet rice plantation are abundant.
