Before winning over moviegoers as the subjects of the record-breaking 2014 feature documentary My Love, Don't Cross That River, elderly married couple Jo Byeong Man and Kang Kye Yeol were first covered in 2011 in the television documentary Gray-Haired Lovers. My Love, Don't Cross That River director Jin Mo Young was inspired to make his own documentary after watching Gray-Haired Lovers, which is part of KBS's acclaimed Human Cinema series. The touching five-episode documentary introduces audiences to the simple daily lives of a loving elderly couple who live in a mountain village in Gangwon. Together for over 70 years, they hold hands and wear traditional hanbok wherever they go.
